DRAGON HEAT ( * * * ) - Hong Kong makes the best action movies. U.S ones star some wuss who can't do his own stunts and looks like he has probably never fired a TOY gun in his life, let alone a real one, and any violence or effects are animated on some fool's laptop. so, movies like this one from 2005 are the real deal. this balls out and brutal shoot 'em up pits cops against mercenaries who are out to get a low-level drug czar whom the cops are seeking to protect, so that they can put him on trial. the result is plenty of gunplay, a fair amount of gore and a fair dose of bodily dismemberment, and like the 1995 "Heat", you find yourself rooting for the villains as much as the heroes. it is directed by Daniel Lee of "Black Mask" fame, and features a sick cast, that includes Michael Biehn from "The Terminator", Sammo Hung from "Eastern Condors" and TV'S "Martial Law" and Maggie Q from "Balls of Fury". Maggie Q plays a sniper and I like her much cause her first name is longer than her last. check this out, as it is fast paced and violent. not Takashi Miike violent, but violent enough to impress the whole family… Click to Buy From FYE!
